The Ghost River is world class and has a large density of some of the best ice routes of different grades in the Rockies.

The Ghost is the place for adventure and superb climbing.

Approx. 1.5 hrs west of Calgary, accessed via the 1A hwy to SR 940 (Forestry Trunk Road).
From Canmore approx. 1hr east.

A 4x4 is recommended for access as there tends to be man-eating snow drifts that form from high winds due to the many Chinooks, but worth the drive into this beautiful valley.

    The Joker is 60m grade 3 ice, and is a fun,
    easy route for beginners just starting out.

    It is located in Orient Point, the South Ghost.
    This route can be linked with the Dragon.
