Cirrus Alpine Guides offer the highest quality sport and alpine rock venues in the Canadian Rockies. Our local mountain areas offer world class sport and alpine rock climbing with out the crowds and spectacular Rocky Mountain views. We have some of the best quality limestone rock to be found, as good as Europe. There are excellent approach trails and a large variety of long moderate multi pitch routes to climb. All guides are local IFMGA/ACMG Mountain or Alpine Guides.

Our guides have access to all national and provincial park lands. Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis Country, Ghost River and Mt Yamnuska are all local climbing areas.

We Specialize with Guided multi pitch limestone, quartzite or granite wall routes with traditional gear or bolt protection. We have 16 years experience providing alpine rock climbing adventures in the Canadian Rockies as well as Bugaboo Provincial Park. Looking for education, try one of our Rock Craft courses this summer.

There are many options for all ages and abilities including kids. Climbing grades range from very easy to very difficult. Prices include all technical gear and guiding fees only. You must provide rock shoes, which can be rented locally. If you don't have a rock climbing adventure in mind here is a variety of local rock climbing venues to choose from.

  Half Day or Full Day Rock Experience

A fun introduction to the sport of rock climbing. Kids must be 12 years of age.

Held at one of our local climbing areas close to the road. Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise.

Your rock guide will start you off with some movement skills while bouldering then on to top rope climbing. We teach belay and lowering skills.

We can rent rock shoes for you at local shops. Includes use of all gear and rope. May through Sept. 1 - 4 climbers
Half Day $260.00, Full Day  $340.00 Book any time.


One to Five Day Sport Climbing Holiday

Sun, friends, quality rock, trad or bolts, easy, hard, single or multi pitch. The crags and canyons of the Bow Valley and the Ghost River climbing areas are all great options and unique places for a sport climbing holiday. Includes all gear. April through Oct.
$340.00 per day for 1-4 climbers.

Bugaboo Alpine Rock Experience

Five days of climbing the famous Bugaboo granite spires. The most spectacular alpine rock venue in Canada. Negotiate glaciated snow and ice terrain to gain access to classic granite lines. Possible objectives: 

Bugaboo Spire.  Kain Route 5.6 and the North East Ridge 5.7                 Snowpatch Spire  Southeast Shoulder 5.7, and the Southwest Ridge 5.9    Pigeon Spire West Ridge 5.5         Central Howser Tower  East Face 5.7 Cresent Towers Lions Way 5.6, Donkey's Ears 5.8  East post Spire 5.5 Traditional rock climbing on Cresent Spire Paddle Flake, McTech Arete, Woza Moya all 6 pitch 5.10 routes.

For four nights the Conrad Kain hut will be the place we eat home cooked meals, socialize and get a good night's sleep.

These are long 8-10 hour day trips and require good fitness. Confidence with crampons, ice axe  and the ability to follow up to 5.8 granite rock is a must.
Dates: June 14-18, 21-25.   July 5-9, 12-16. Aug 2-6, 9-13, 18-22, 30- Sept 3.                   Number of days and dates of your choice are possible upon request.


$1950.00 for one. $2350.00 for two climbers, guiding only. Food can be catered at $33.00 per day per person. Hut fees $30.00 per night.
 

Two Day Bugaboo Alpine Rock Experience

Climb two of the classic lines in two days. This is excellent value and has been a very popular trip. We hike up to the Conrad Kain hut on the first morning and ascend a route on one of the Crescent Towers. The next day we leave the hut early, and traveling light we climb one of the long classic routes on Snowpatch, Bugaboo Spire or Pigeon Spire. There are many options for traditional multi pitch routes, 5.6 to 5.10 All on top quality granite rock.
$790.00 for one, $980.00 for two. Food and hut fees extra. June through Sept.


Rock Climbing Education

Cirrus Alpine Guides offer quality personalized instruction. We teach modern state of the art techniques used by professional climbing guides. Our low 4:1 student/instructor ratio allows for maximum safety and enjoyment while you develop essential skills. Both Rock Craft courses are based out of Canmore with climbing venues in near buy Kananaskis Country, Banff and Lake Louise. 

Rock Craft 2 Day
Just enough to get you started. Movement skills, use of rope and hardware, anchor building, belaying and rappelling, hazard management and lots of climbing.
Dates: Held on weekends May through to October. Preferred dates are possible with early bookings.  $210.00 per person. Includes use of all gear.  2 person privet course $680.00 total.

Rock Craft 4 Day
An intense, comprehensive rock skills course. The goal is to develop the independent rock leader. Advanced climbing movement, understanding equipment use and limitations, placing natural protection, complex anchor building and evaluation, improvised rope rescue techniques, leading on traditional gear and bolt protection, hazard recognition and management.
For climbers who are confident and experienced with their basic rock skills and would like to develop or improve leading skills.
Dates: Saturday to Tuesday May through to October.  

$480.00 per person. Includes use of all gear. 2 person privet course $1360.00 total.
