Cirrus Alpine Guides has 16 years experience
specialize in quality, world class rock climbing venues in the Canadian Rockies.
Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore,
Ghost River, Mt Yamnuska and the Bugaboos are all local
climbing areas. Simply the best quality rock adventures to be found, as
good as Europe, with out the crowds.
All guides are local
Rock, Alpine or ACMG Mountain Guides with training in wilderness
emergency response. They are friendly and knowledgeable and have years
of local guiding experience.
They will share there passion for climbing
with you, and safely guide you. Our adventures at Cirrus
are more then just climbs and technical know how. They are about trust,
attitude, fun, redefining the limits, and going beyond.
There are many options for all ages and abilities including
kids on limestone, quartzite
or granite climbing routes with traditional gear or bolt
protection.

Half
Day or Full Day Rock Experience
A fun introduction to the sport of rock climbing. Kids must
be 12 years of age.
Held at one of our local
climbing areas close to the road. Canmore, Banff or Lake
Louise.
Your rock guide will
start you off with some movement
skills while bouldering then on to top rope climbing. We teach
belay and lowering skills.
We can rent rock shoes
for you at local shops. Includes use of all gear. May through Sept.
1 - 4 climbers
Half Day $260.00, Full Day $350.00 Book any time.

One to Five Day Sport
Climbing Holiday
Sun, friends, quality rock, trad or bolts, easy, hard, single or multi
pitch. The crags and canyons of the Bow Valley and the
Ghost River climbing areas are all great options and
unique places for a sport climbing holiday. Includes all gear. April
through Oct.
$350.00 per day for 1-4 climbers.
Guided Ascents of Multi
Pitch Rock Routes. 16 Bow Valley Classics
$360.00 per day, add $50.00 for a second climber. Max 2 climbers,
May through Sept.
$425.00 per day for longer 10-12hr alpine rock routes to
peaks like Mt Louis or Castle Mountain.
We supply all hardware and ropes. Use of helmet, harness is
included if needed.
You will need rock shoes, rain protection, lunch, water and
camera.

Bugaboo Alpine Rock
Experience
Five days of climbing the famous Bugaboo granite spires. The most
spectacular alpine rock venue in Canada. Negotiate glaciated snow and
ice terrain to gain access to classic granite lines.

Route 5.6 and the North East Ridge 5.7

Cresent Spire offers excelent 6 pitch 5.10 routes like Paddle Flake, McTech Arete

nights the Conrad Kain hut will be the place we eat home cooked meals,

These are long 8-12 hour day trips
from the hut and
require good fitness. Confidence with crampons, ice tool and the
ability to climb well at the grade are required to get up these routes
in good style. Includes all and any climbing gear needed.
Dates: June 20-24, 26-30. July 4-8, 18-22. Aug 6-10, 22-26. Sept
1-5, 8-12.
5 day cost $2000.00 for one. $2500.00 for two climbers, guiding only. Food
can be catered at $33.00 per night per person. Hut fees $25.00 per night
pp.
3 and 4 day trips are also
available at $425.00 per day. Book any time for preferred dates.
Two
Day Bugaboo Alpine Rock Experience
Climb two of the classic granite lines in two days. This is excellent value and
has been a very popular trip. We meet in Golden or Radium BC
early in the morning, drive up to the car park and head up to the Conrad Kain hut.
We spend the afternoon on one of the
Crescent Towers routes Lions Way or Tiger's Tail,
or Eastpost Spier NW ridge then down to the hut for dinner.
The next day with an alpine start, and traveling light
we climb one of the long classic routes on Snowpatch Spire - SW
Ridge 5.9, SE Corner 5.7
Bugaboo Spire - Kain route South Ridge 5.6, NE Ridge 5.7.
Pigeon Spire - West Ridge 5.5
There are many options for traditional multi pitch routes, 5.6 to 5.10 All
on top quality granite rock.
$850.00 for one, $1050.00 for two. Food and hut fees extra. June through
Sept.
Rock Climbing
Education
Cirrus Alpine Guides offer quality personalized instruction. We teach
modern state of the art techniques used by professional climbing guides.
Our low student/instructor ratios allows for maximum safety and
enjoyment while you develop essential skills. Its all about goal
setting, problem solving, trusting your self and others,
beautiful surroundings and fun. Both Rock Craft courses
are based out of Canmore with climbing venues in near buy Kananaskis
Country, Banff and Lake Louise.
Rock Craft 2 Day
This course is for new climbers just starting out. Every effort
is made to ease the participant into this new exciting
environment at there own pace. Skills emphasize and reinforce
safety and sound climbing practice. Expert coaching will have
you climbing with a minimum of effort.
- Bouldering close to the ground
with no rope.
- Introduction to efficient climbing movement and terminology.
- Climbing geology, how to read the rock and route find.
- Equipment use, fitting, care and limitations, hardware, ropes and
knots.
- Climbing communications.
- Belaying and lowering in a top rope situation with a friction devise
- Top rope climbing up to 30m of varying steepness and difficulty.
- Introduction to top rope anchor construction.
- Cleaning routes and stations for lead climbers.
- Rappelling
Dates: Held on weekends May to October.
Preferred dates also possible. $230.00 per person. Includes use of all gear. 2 person privet course $360.00
pp total.
Rock Craft 3 Day
An intense, comprehensive rock skills course. The goal is to develop the
independent rock leader.
For climbers who are confident and experienced with their basic rock
skills and would like to develop or improve leading skills. There
will be an opportunity to climb single and short multi pitch routes. One
day on limestone and two days on quartzite rock at The Back of the Lake,
Lake Louise. - Climbing
limits: you will be climbing above your present limits and we will show
you how.
- Belaying, lowering, protecting the belayer, rope systems, management
and communications.
- Protection, natural and bolts, gear characteristics, racking,
placement, anchors, limitations.
- Safety back ups, self rescue techniques and systems.
- Leading strategies, how to fall, fall factors, backing off.
- Rappelling.
- Multi pitch climbing, station management, route finding, selection and
risk assessment.
- Advanced climbing movement and techniques.
Dates: Saturday to Monday, May through to October.
Preferred dates also available. $360.00 per person. Includes use of all gear.
2 person privet course $540.00 per person total.
